Mee Goreng Sotong

Another gem that has stood the test of time at New World Park Food City is the renowned Indian-style Mee Goreng Sotong. With a history spanning approximately 80 years, this stall has been a cherished favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Stepping into the stall, you'll be greeted by the second-generation owner, who is of Indian descent but remarkably fluent in Hokkien. The stall's legacy dates back to its days at Bangkok Lane's old coffee shop, and now it continues to captivate taste buds at New World Park. Despite the move, the name, the owner, and most importantly, the divine flavors remain unchanged, and it remains the only one of its kind without any branches.

The Mee Goreng Sotong here is a true showstopper, attracting a constant stream of customers ordering for dine-in or takeaway. The dish is an unexpected delight, boasting an explosion of flavors that will leave you craving more. The stir-fried noodles are expertly prepared, yielding a delightful texture, while the succulent sotong (squid) adds a touch of tenderness and briny sweetness. What sets this Mee Goreng Sotong apart is not just the superb taste, but also the generous portion sizes.

Muah Chee

After indulging in a satisfying meal, it's time to treat yourself to some delectable desserts. Look no further than the stall with the sign "Muah Chee", and you'll be in for a delightful experience.

At this stall, the real star of the show is their handmade Muah Chee, a chewy and soft delicacy that will leave you wanting more. One of the highly recommended options is the "Yuan Yang" Muah Chee, which features two delectable flavors - the Pandan and the classic original. These delightful morsels of goodness are incredibly soft and chewy, and the fragrant peanut powder adds the perfect touch of nutty goodness.

For an extra indulgence, the stall owner also recommends pairing the Muah Chee with their homemade peanut paste. One bite of this heavenly combination, and you'll be transported to dessert heaven. The owner takes great pride in preparing the peanut paste from scratch, ensuring the perfect balance of flavors and textures.

While the taste and quality of the Muah Chee and peanut paste are exceptional, it's important to note that the prices may be slightly higher compared to other stalls. However, considering the delectable experience and the effort put into creating these mouthwatering treats, the price is well worth it.

So, if you're in the mood for some delightful handmade glutinous treats, head over to the Muah Chee stall at New World Park Food City. Treat yourself to a medley of flavors and textures that will satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you with an unforgettable dessert experience.
